Description
of Service Request:
This Multi User Vertual Environment would be designed for secondary education to help teach about drugs and help students discover some of the consequences of using drugs. For example - the program would start out with a character giving facts about various drugs - or one specific drug. The session would be timed for a very specific time limit - say 10 - 15 minutes. Within that time someone would come up to the user (student) and offer them a drug and a question about the drug would appear. If the student answered the question right - then they avoided the drug and some positive consequence would appear (like got a raise on a job for always being on time - thus giving the user a sum of money that they could spend buying things for their character. For every question they got wrong, something bad would happen ... like user lost consciousness and awoke to having their wallet/purse stolen costing them $ or they lost their job due to being stoned on the job - You could really be creative with this.
I honestly think you could make a fortune with this especially if school districts bought the program. I just really want it to be made available for kids to maybe make them think about their actions and choices. If you do decide to use this - I would request a copy of the program if possible.
Thanks,
Michelle Bickers
